According to sources, more than a dozen interesting questions were asked of Mithun Chakraborty. Detective officers from the Maniktala Police Headquarters interrogated Mithun for about 45 minutes.
Kolkata. Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty had to face a police interrogation on his birthday. On Wednesday, Mithun held a virtual meeting with investigators as instructed by the Supreme Court. According to sources, Mithun Chakraborty was asked more than a dozen interesting questions. Detective officers from the Maniktala Police Headquarters interrogated Mithun for about 45 minutes.
An FIR was registered against Mithun on May 8, 2021, at the Maniktala Police Station for violent incitement, making inflammatory remarks, and disturbing the peace. He is accused of making inflammatory remarks during a demonstration on the ground in the brigade parade in Kolkata. He called on the Calcutta Supreme Court to dismiss it. But this appeal did not work.
The Sealdah ACJM court also recently requested a police report during the trial. Did the court want to know from the police how far the investigation under the FIR has progressed against actor and BJP leader Mithun? Mithun then went to the Supreme Court, but the actor was not acquitted of the case even after he was acquitted of his physical presence. He then had to interrogate investigating officers on Wednesday. Police sources said Mithun was asked 12 questions via virtual media.
Incidentally, the BJP was defeated in the 2021 elections in the West Bengal Assembly, and the Trinamool Congress firmly returned to power at the local level. Mithun Chakraborty has not appeared in public ever since. Mithun campaigned fiercely for the BJP in the Bengal General Assembly elections. He claimed that if the BJP came to power, Bengal would change in 6 months. Mithun was previously at the Trinamool Congress. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party before the General Assembly elections and campaigned for the party. He was seen at Babul Supriyo meetings.
